Bad Habits (MAXWELL, BLACKsummersnight 2009, 2nd single) – After watching, SEVERAL different performances of this song on YouTube, I think I have reached a point where I feel comfortable with sharing what I “think” Maxwell is singing with this song, lyrics-wise. Back in October, a friend asked me for the lyrics, I listened to the various Amsterdam performances and sent the information to my friend and did not think anymore about it. So, I just got the chance to get back around to correcting what I heard back in October, September, November and December and I feel comfortable with the lyrics below. NOTE: I watched EVERY video on YouTube labeled Maxwell – Bad Habits or Maxwell – Will You Forgive Me, correct and wrong song title, respectively. My personal favorite performance of Bad Habits, I like the way it starts…More so, love the 21 seconds of heaven. I could take them to the bank and get cash money for them.

and yes it is 21 seconds of the most incredible horn arrangement on earth…reminds of a sultry, Louisiana, Bourbon Street song with some 2nd line brass musicians. I can see him struttin in a video that way with a fringed umbrella likes he’s mourning a loss…He sings like the girl is a narcotic or like he hallucinating or something ha..excellent song!
